Natalie Bessell is a muti-media artist. Most of her works are painted on either wood or paper, while others are created digitally. Almost entirely self-taught, she finds inspiration in the human and animal world around her. Blending the natural world with the sometimes very “unnatural” world of human life, she uses her images to toy with our historically founded views on all things religious, mystical, and political. Animals act as idols in many of her pieces, aiming to question our human-centric ideals and expand our values to all beings.
